This is a beautiful, very soft, Large, authentic Axis Deer hide. It is brown with white spots, and it has its 7" long tail in tact. The tail length is not included in the length measurement of the hide.

Axis deer hides are commonly used for small upholstery projects such as barstools and pillows, or to make small handbags or wallets. The authentic axis deer hide is also used as a prayer rug. Though this hide is not trimmed for use as a small rug, it could easily be trimmed to the desired shape.
