Small Cowhide Rugs

Small Cowhide Rugs

Each small cowhide is a full natural Colombian hide trimmed to about 4' × 3'. It's the in-between size: bigger than a calfskin, smaller than a full-size cowhide, and just right for a lot of spaces.

The In-Between Size

If a calfskin is too small and a full-size cowhide is too large, a small hide is the answer. It adds texture, color and shape to modern and western rooms alike.

Where a Small Cowhide Works

• A kids' room or nursery
• In front of a reading chair or hearth
• An entry or hallway
• On a bench or table, or hung on a wall

Need It Smaller?

See our Mini cowhides at about 3' × 2'.

Made to Live With

Hair-on cowhide handles everyday foot traffic well, which makes it a practical choice for living rooms, entryways and offices. Care is simple:

• Shake it out or vacuum on low.
• Blot spills right away.
• Expect a little shedding at first. It settles within a few weeks.

Hand-Selected from Colombia and Brazil

Our hides come from small, independent tanneries in Colombia and Brazil, through relationships that go back more than 30 years. Each hide is chosen for its coat, markings and character, then photographed and measured on its own. The hide you see in the listing is the hide you'll receive.
